Asbestos Watchdog - The Monthly Newsletter
Asbestos Watchdog represents the paying property owners and businesses who are worried about asbestos issues, whether it be asbestos in a property, advice on regulations or legal implications of asbestos related problems.
INTRODUCTION TO ASBESTOS WATCHDOG AND OUR NEWSLETTER
Following the coverage in the Sunday Telegraph in 2002 of the work of Professor John Bridle, thousands of readers wrote in concerned that they had been victims of a massive fraud. It soon became apparent that homeowners, businesses, public bodies and charities were routinely being advised by surveyors and asbestos removal contractors to spend vast sums on the removal of asbestos in homes and work places when an independent survey subsequently confirmed that such expensive work was either unnecessary, or could be carried out entirely within current regulations and at a fraction of the cost.
Asbestos Watchdog was set up to offer expert and impartial advice to property owners and businesses to arm them against the shameless exploitation of their ignorance in asbestos related matters.
Our newsletters are designed to bring the common sense point of view to what has become an overly sensationalist and scientifically bereft asbestos debate.
We hope you find the newsletter interesting and look forward to receiving any feedback you may have or material you feel should be featured.
